Does the weathervaining effect come into play on these little guys? Like if you're going at a pretty good speed will the vert stab keep the tail following the nose?
Do you only fly ...
Do you only fly electric hei or planes or do you fly nitro powered too??
That stabilizer ...
That stabilizer have no sence at all. I am studying aerodinamic, and that is not working. The speed of wind from the rotor is much stronger than the wind that push stabilizers back during fast flight. Take a look at yourself, the stabilizers are always nearly up side down. You have air brake my friend.

Рекомендую смотреть онлайн этот видео обзор, фильм или ролик, как его не назови, да хоть DYNAMIC HELI STABILIZERS .
This guy is really ...
This guy is really good. I couldn't imagine flying without a HH gyro. I would crash just trying to hover in rate mode. lol. I use rate mode only to setup my gyro properly before switching to HH mode.
i think these might ...
i think these might add stability in forward flight much like an plane flys but ask for speed it looks quicker but im unsure in theory these would boost forward flight other than slow the roll rate and perhaps increase lift at faster speeds they should put this under test in a wind tunnel to see if it creates drag or swirly air im only flying slow forward flight on my b400 but im interested to see if something like this will help in getting faster flight more stable hmm interesting device
I agree completely, ...
I agree completely, it is certainly out there!
Those 'stabilizers' ...
Those 'stabilizers' won't be doing anything to increase the speed of the heli. They will be pointing in the direction of the wind. The bearing joint can only support vertical and horizontal forces, but no moment. This means the only forces they exert will be drag forces on the helicopter, slowing it down if anything.
lol well get use ...
lol well get use to it part of the hobby until u get better sim sim sim! im from canada to probley gonna put mine away soon then bring out in spring
fab vid dave bet ...
fab vid dave bet you was well working your fingers hard with no gyro on way to go :)
Surely the only ...
Surely the only time those "wings" will be at 45 degrees is when the wind from forward airspeed is EQUAL to the rotor thrust so redirecting rotor thrust is then useless as the machine would already be travelling at the speed of that thrust!
I cant fly for shit ...
I cant fly for shit...... i give it power its like gentle to take of slowly it starts hovering left to right or spinning then if i hold it one way a sec or gently it flys at an angle it doesn't lean forward.. it hovers and moves xD
but thanks you soo ...
but thanks you soo much for making them , as you may know there is not much on youtube for the blade 400, so thanks again'
hey man , im from ...
hey man , im from canada i have been watching your vids on you tube for a few weeks now, and i bought the blade 400, i am sooo choked .... the first helli i bought was the mcx (works great) but i think i may have to take a second motgage out from having to replace part after part and trip after trip back to the freaking hobby store to get more parts i have spent sooo much time repairing boom strikes and bacicaly rebulding this thing from the ground up and i have had it about a foot of the groud
Yeh just have the ...
Yeh just have the stick dead center
Thanks very kindly ...
Thanks very kindly. It was a wake up call for sure.
WOW! Flying the ...
WOW! Flying the blade with no Gyro! Impressive skill!! Tks for the stabilizer review!
yeah true that ...
yeah true that makes sense. thanks.
I dont think you ...
I dont think you would see any difference, in fact it would be not good, as they have to go fast to work and Havocs have no cyclic head steering to make it go forward. They only work on bigger helicopters, but bet they would look cool. LOL.
do you think it ...
do you think it would be possible to apply something like this to micro helis like the Havocs? i know they don't have any forward movement but with these plus some nose weights i think you would get some decent forward flight.
Thanks. I don't ...
Thanks. I don't think you would see much difference on a coaxial, as they don't go fast enough and are already very stable. Thanks again.
hi dave. a good ...
hi dave. a good video woulfd be the blue ray heli with dinamic stabilizers and see how fast can it go. a question right here too. would they work on an esky co-manche coaxial? good luck, nice flying and keep making this cool videos. rolando
Thanks much. I ...
Thanks much. I think your right about the Gyro too.
nice flying ....... ...
nice flying .......i flew my blade 400 for several weeks withs a failed gyro...just went out and put the 401 on it now its flying better then ever..... i think that stock gyro seems to fail a lot for people....
Yes. I put the ...
Yes. I put the grommets on the outside of the canopy
Thanks very kindly. ...
Thanks very kindly. Gyros apply opposite pitch from torque and wind gusts, etc. on the tail rotor.
